“S P O R T : DELUXE” and “DEMO” continue in a similarly unclassifiable hybrid styles of synth-pop, trap, experimental, queer centered
dance music as their first release on RATSKIN, “Invisible Island”. In a forty-minute space, “SPORT” begins with a morose, textured minimalist
take on synth-pop accented with Holmes ever-evolving voice. Thick, arpeggiated bass lines are backed by densely crafted drum
programming, mangled vocal lines which crescendo in the album’s epic nearly twelve-minute climax of “I Can’t Forget 2”, This EP tackles a
wide range of HOLMES queer and vibrant interpretations of industrial, synthpop, noise and hip hop. MUST BE HEARD TO BE BELIEVED
Similarly, “DEMO”. like, it’s counterpart, “S P O R T : DELUXE”, offers even deeper and more complex textured rhythms cut up and rearranged vocal
abstractions, heavy percussion and drum programming blended with lush, dense psychedelic sound design throughout. We’re beyond proud to bring
these two EP’s to life in the physical realm. Although the cassettes aren’t available until September 1st, Holmes will have them EXCLUSIVELY on
their US tour now.

Sometimes one instrument stands out in a band and here I admire the very creative guitar-work, dissonant, edgy and daring. The whole band creates an energy, which seems to jump out off your speakers.
